International Women’s Day Celebration

For the second year Blackburne House will throw open its doors to all for this
celebratory event and this year our programme is even more jam packed than last.
Female Entrepeurs, Pioneers, Artists and Performers will be showcasing their wares and talents throughout the day. A full events guide will be produced for the day however below is a brief hint of what you can expect:
12pm Sponsored Walk for the Girl EffectAlleviate poverty in young women and walk for the Girl Effect, starting from Blackburne House and taking in the Discover Liverpool's Inspirational Women exhibition areas throughout the city centre, and back to the Blackburne House Cafe for a bowl of soup and the chance to enjoy the restof the celebrations!
1pm to 5pm Women’s MarketplaceBe inspired and tempted by the beautiful creative wares of the finest collection of female entrepreneurs, artists and craftswomen at this vibrant marketplace.
1pm to 5pm Entertainment in the Cafe BarRelax in the Cafe Bar, sample some of our home made, award winning lunches and afternoon teas whilst we entertain you with a selection of Liverpool’s up and coming songwriters, musicians and performers.
1pm to 5pm Exhibition Launch - We are Warriors, Goddesses, Stars & QueensClaire Campbell’s latest Artist’s workshop—Pieces from over 70 women, created to reflect the Blackburne House values of Transformation, Inspiration, Equality and Independence.
